from the Rutland Daily Herald, March 10, 1891:
Castleton - Edgar M. Rounds died quite suddenly here this morning at the residence of C.A. Beach. He was for many years a resident of Rutland, where he was known as one of the best brick masons. He built the Berwick house, the Kilburn block on Center street, and the one erected by A.C. Blaisdell just north of it, and many others. He went out as lieutenant of the Rutland company in the First regiment, Vermont volunteers, and after his return went out in one of the nine months' regiments. He was one of the oldest members of the Rutland post, G.A.R. His wife, who died a number of years ago, was a sister to James Davis, now water commissioner.
