Rosanna C. Oliver passed away October 8, 2004, at St. Mary's Manor in Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, at Sheil Colonial Funeral Home, 11924 East 47th St., Kansas City, MO. Visitation will begin 9 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at the Humphreys, MO Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Mrs. Oliver was born September 29, 1917 on a farm south of Humphreys, MO. She was the only child of Urias Allan and Mary Evelyn Callihan. She completed high school in Milan, MO and attended college two years at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College (now Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO. She was united in marriage to William Hulen Oliver on December 28, 1946. The couple moved to Kansas City where they lived the rest of their lives. Mrs. Oliver worked for the E.F. Hutton brokerage firm for a period in the late 1950s and early 1960s. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Oliver, July 3, 1999. Rosanna loved gardening, reading, sewing and playing cards. She and her husband were extensive travelers and had visited numerous countries in Europe, plus China, Japan, Russia and the Philippines. They made numerous films of the areas they visited abroad as well as in the U.S. Rosanna was active in the 8-16-35 Movie & Slide Club and served as president of the club for a period in the 1980s.
