He was born on July 18, 1887 in Athena, Umatilla County, Oregon, a son of John Pierson Miller and Ida Eliza (Collum) Miller.
Mr. Miller served in France with the 55 th US Engineers during World War I.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Madeline Miller; two sisters, Mrs. May Estes of Walla Walla, Washington; and Mrs. Ethel Conners of Decatur, Illinois; and a brother Earl Miller in Oregon.
North Hollywood American Legion Post 307 on Friday, October 27, 1939 conducted a military funeral at Sawtelle Cemetery. Burial will be at Los Angeles National Cemetery, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.
He was a contractor and builder.
