Aileen Esther "Aili" (Harju) Hautala, age 71, of 210 5th Street South, Virginia, Minnesota, died Saturday, 15 Apr 1989, at the Virginia Regional Medical Center, Virginia, Minnesota. She was born 3 May 1917, in Pike Township, Minnesota, and had lived in the Virginia area most of her life.
On 12 Feb 1938, she married Laurie "Tojo" Hautala in Eveleth, Minnesota. She was a homemaker, a member of the Pioneers Club of Virginia, the Genis Golden Age Club, and the Virginia Senior Citizens, all of Virginia, Minnestota.
She was survived by two daughters, Loretta Jean Aileen (Hautala) KALLEVIG (1939- ) of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Sharon Lanette (Hautala) BENEFIELD (1944-2005) of Tifton, Georgia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter (Ellen) Harju of rural Virginia, Minnesota; one sister, Amelia Hautala of Virginia, Minnesota; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurie M. "Tojo" Hautala (1916-1984); one infant daughter; four sisters; and five brothers.

Funeral services were held on Monday, 17 Apr 1989, at the Range Funeral Home in Virginia, Minnesota. The Rev. Thomas A. Peterson officiated. Burial was held in the family plot next to her husband in the Gilbert Cemetery.
