Military: Revolutionary War. He was a private in Capt. Freedom Chamberlain's Co., Col Bailey's regt., 19 Apr 1775; also corporal in the same Co. and regt., 6 Oct 1775. Sergeant in Capt. John Turner's Co., Col. John Cushing's regt., 21 Sep 1776; also 1st Lieutenant in Capt. Joseph Stetson's Co., Col. Gamaliel Bradford's regt., 31 Jan 1777. Reported wounded Oct. 1777, and on furlough.
