SPARTANBURG, SC-- Vincent Alden Hayes, 79, of 106 Stribling Circle, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born February 5, 1928, in White Haven, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent O. and Dorothy Baehler Hayes. He was a retired radio broadcaster, a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Doris Small Hayes; a son, Jeff Hayes of the home; and a brother, Ernest L. Hayes and his wife Alene of Port Orange, FL. He was predeceased by a son, Curtis W. Hayes.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at El Bethel United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Jack A. Caldwell. The family will receive friends after the service at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church of one's choice; or to Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve, c/o The Spartanburg County Foundation, 424 East Kennedy Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
