Stella Effie Ratcliffe Bratton, age 80 of 4958 Thornspring Road, Pulaski passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003 at her home. Born Dec. 19, 1923 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Langford Ratcliffe & Nannie Spence Ratcliffe. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Franklin Bratton, and five brothers, Coy Ratcliffe, Dennis Ratcliffe, Ernest Ratcliffe, Gilbert Ratcliffe and Piney Ratcliffe. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Frank Hampton Bratton, Pulaski; daughter & son-in-law, Cindy & Tommy Mabry, Pulaski; son & daughter-in-law, Mike & Brenda Bratton, Dublin; two grandsons, Shane Mabry, Pulaski, Robert Edward Bratton & wife, Vonda, Boones Mill; two granddaughters, Tabitha Bond & husband, Kevin, Roanoke, Deborah Shumate & husband, Mark, Draper; great grandchildren, Kaylan Bond, Britt, Kristen and Lauren Shumate; one sister, Lucille Jones, Pulaski; one brother, Garnett "Dick" Ratcliffe, Salem. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 11 a.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Larry Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
