Arnold L. "Arnie" Green, age 65, of Portage, IN passed away Monday, May 18, 2009.
Arnie had been a Portage resident since 1967 and was a retired steelworker employed at Inland Steel in East Chicago.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Raylene; two daughters: Janet (Harry) Williams of Valparaiso, IN and Sandra (Mark) Adams of Portage, IN; three grandchilden: Chelsea Adams, Samantha and Jordan Williams; brother, Charles Richard Green of Highland, IN; and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, IN with Pastor Dick Shepperd officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
