D/O John James & Dema Griffin Anglin. 1st W/O Simon Benjamin Clark∼Lura Lee Anglin Clark, age 88 of Anglin Falls Road, died Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. Mrs. Clark was a native of Rockcastle County, the daughter of the late John James and Dema Griffin Anglin. She was a housewife and a member of the Climax Christian Church. Mrs. Clark was an avid seamstress, quilter and loved flowers. She was preceded in death by the father of her children and her husband of 17 years, Ben Clark; her daughter, Angie Kay Clark; her sons, James William and Robert Lewis (Rabbitt) Clark.
Mrs. Clark is survived by: her sons, Lloyd (Freda) Clark of Mt Vernon, Cecil (Bert Eva) Clark of Mt. Vernon, Kenneth (Darlene) Clark of Climax, Ky.; her brother, John Amos (Betty) Anglin of Berea. 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Martin and Bro. Charlie Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Mose Anglin Cemetery in Rockcastle County. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Clark's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonas Clark.
