Della "Grace" Hansen of Menan died June 19, 2002 at the Nursing Center in Rexburg. She was born March 9, 1916 at Shelley to Nelson Earl Arave and Della Grace Hampton and grew up in Taylor. She married Wayne Clifton Hansen on September 1, 1932 in the Logan Temple. In January 1997, she married Wilford Hammon in the Idaho Falls Temple. She worked for several seasons in West Yellowstone for Hamilton Stores. She served with Wayne as a patron in Idaho Falls Temple and also served for many years in the Relief Society. She was known for the quilts and dolls that she made and gave away, wrote many poems, and was a great cook. Survivors beside Wilford included: son Dr. Russell Wayne (Holly) Hansen of Rigby; daughter Arlene Dalton of Portland, OR; sister Nelda Siler of Lewisville; brother Carol Arave of Basalt; and four grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Those preceding included: son Kenneth Hansen; daughter Grace Hansen; brothers Walace Earl Arave, Lyal Wilber Arave, Ralph Lee Arave, Don Edwin Arave and Russell Lafe Arave; sister Mary Lauise Arave; and daughter-in-law Lucilla Hansen. Graveside services held June 24th at Shelley Cemetery. Bishop Kris H. Wright officiated.
