Mrs. Ossie Miller Steger, age 87 of Pulaski, VA, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999. She was born in Wythe County on Jan. 20, 1912, daughter of the late Charles Miller & the late Laura Reeves Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Steger and one daughter, Frances Steger Johnson formerly of Pulaski. She was a homemaker and member of Slaughters Chapel United Methodist Church in Draper. Surviving are four daughters, Margaret Claytor of Radford, Jean Tinner of Radford, Peggy Meadows of Olathe, KS, Harrietta Saunders of Radford; one sister, Virginia Miller Finley of Stone Mountain, GA; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. at the Randolph United Methodist Church, Pulaski with the Rev. Donald Swift officiating. Burial will follow at Pinehurst Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be on Friday at the Randolph United Methodist Church from 12-1 p.m. Arrangements by Claytor-Dean Funeral Home, Radford.
