McMinnville resident formerly of Coalmont, Emma Doris Childers, 78, died April 6 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
A mail carrier in Coalmont for many years and a member of Antioch Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Emma Knight Childers, and was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Richard, Edward, and Rufus Childers, and John Morgan Childers; sisters, Katherine Jones, Pearl Knight, and Nona Patton.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Foster & Lay Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Bonny Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Foster & Lay.
