Mary E. Hook

Mary E. Hook, 102, Indianapolis, died Wednesday at the Indianapolis Retirement Home.

Born Aug. 14, 1895, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Louisa Anna (Brown) Miller.

She had been married to Clarence Brooks, Jacob Loehr and Omer Hook, and all of them preceded her in death.

A former Greenfield resident, Mrs. Hook had been employed at Indiana Knitwear and as a cook at Cozy Lunch Restaurant and Riley Hotel, Greenfield.

Survivors include one son, Wayne Brooks, Greenfield; three daughters, Alma Hook, Greenfield, Doris Phares, Shelbyville, and Harriet O'Connor, Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Pasco Memorial Mortuary, Greenfield.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the mortuary with the Rev. Mike Manning officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Greenfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Retirement Home.
