John F. Barthalow, 70, brother of Mayor Ellis Barthalow of Newcomerstown, died suddenly Wednesday at 1 a.m. at his home in Kimbolton. A retired railroad conductor, Mr. Barthalow was a member of Lone Star Masonic Lodge in Newcomerstown.
Surviving are his wife; two children, Harry of the home and Miss Theresa Barthalow, 941 Steubenville Ave.; two brothers and two sisters, Ellis, Newcomerstown, Lane McKeesport, Pa., Mrs. Denver Johnson, Orville and Mrs. Perry Mehaffey, Akron.
The body was removed to the Steel funeral home, Kimbolton where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with burial in Kimbolton Cemetery.
