Stephen B. Gallea served Civil War as Musician for Company A, of the 24th Regiment, Kansas State Militia from 1st October 1864 thru 1st November 1864.

Stephen had 14 children between 2 wives. His children with Emiline were Valentine,Charles Fredrich,William H,Olive Malissa,Ellen Savilla,Demis Emmaline,Phila Jane, & Josephine. His children with Lavina were Stephen R,James,Frank U,Electa Almira,Rebecca, & Wallace Washington. Electa Almira & Rebecca died as infants. I have yet to locate burials & marriages of Valentine,Olive Malissa,Josephine.

Stephen & Lavina divorced about June 1880.

He married a 3rd time to Mrs Sarah Louisa(Clarke) Martling 16,Nov,1880 Vernon Co. MO, she was the widowed mother of Julia Martling, 1st wife of Stephen R Gallea, his son with his 2nd wife Lavina Welch. There were no children from this marriage.

NOTE: Another researcher & I believe he is buried in Coonrod Cemetery. There is no gravestone as proof but he has two daughters buried there. There is some rocks in the general vicinity of the 2 daughters.
