Kevin Neal Pierce, 51, of Hope passed away Sunday Feb. 3, 2008, at 1:37 a.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.

He had been employed since 1980 at Interstate Brands where he worked as a maintenance engineer. He was a member of Hope Masonic Lodge and loved spending time with his family and friends and working in his garage on several projects.

Born Jan. 30, 1957, in Seymour, Mr. Pierce was the son of Carl E. and Eileen F. Kamke Pierce, both of Hope. He married Karen Renee Erdman July 7, 1977, at First Baptist Church of Hope. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Angela M. (Craig) Whittington of Hope; a son, Matthew N. Pierce of Hope; grandchildren, Cade and Kevin Whittington, both of Hope; a brother, Allen F. (Connie) Pierce of Hope; three nieces and two nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with the Rev. Ed Fryman officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today with a Masonic memorial service at 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to a college fund for Mr. Pierce's grandchildren, Cade and Kevin Whittington.

The funeral for Kevin Neal Pierce, 51, of Hope was conducted Wednesday at Norman Funeral Home at Hope with the Rev. Ed Fryman officiating. Special remembrances were given by Mr. Pierce's son, Matthew.

A Masonic memorial service was conducted Feb. 5 by members of Hope Masonic Lodge with Jerry Crouse serving as worshipful master and Ron Waltz as chaplain.

Burial was at Hope Moravian Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joey Hibbs, Mark Cornett, Shawn Snyder, Brian Oliver, Marty Wachtstetter and Craig Whittington.

Mr. Pierce died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
