BELFIELD -- Fran Nicholson, 69, Sun City, Ariz., died Feb. 17, 2000, in Sun City. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. MST Tuesday at Belfield Lutheran Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 24, 1930 in Fryburg, N.D. to John and Rosalia (Hoerner) Lowenstein of Belfield.

She is survived by her husband, George; two sons, Guy Howie, Fargo, and Ken Howie, Phoenix; stepson, Bill Nicholson, Wichita, Kan., and stepdaughter, Jane Holcomb, Baltimore; six grandchildren; three brothers, Louie Lowenstein, Las Vegas, LeeRoy Lowenstein, Bismarck, and Robert Lowenstein, Renton, Wash.; and two sisters, Laura Schumacher, Sacramento, Calif., and Marty Robertson, Montague, Calif. (Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson).

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosalia Lowenstein; six brothers and sisters.
