Lucy May Headley Allen, 94, of Village, died Sunday August 6, 2000. She was the widow of George William Allen and a member of Gibeon Baptist Church, Village. Mrs. Allen was a retired transit operator for Ridge National Bank with 25 years service. Surviving are six nieces, Frances Ann Parris of Crouse, N.C.; Ruth Lawson of Heathsville; Marie Carlson of Kilmarnock, Ethel Creecy of Lottsburg, Levern Crockett of Lottsburg, and Doris Clarke of Heathsville.
Funeral services were held August 10, 2000 at Jones-Ash Funeral Home, Rainswood, with Rev. James Adams officiating. Interment was in Gibeon Baptist Church Cemetery, Village.
Pallbearers were Christopher Cralle, Robert Crockett, Benjamin Lewis, Kelly Paris, David Dunaway and Jim Paris.
