GRAVESIDE SERVICES HELD TUESDAY FOR O. B. PIPKIN
Graveside services for O. B. Pipkin, 90, were conducted Tuesday morning in the Texico Cemetery. Mr. Pipkin died Sunday evening in an Amarillo nursing home. Schooler-Gorden Funeral Home of Amarillo was in charge of the service.
Mr. Pipkin was born May 1, 1988 (should be 1888), in Farmington, Mo. He had been a resident of Farwell for almost 50 years. He was moved to Amarillo in 1973 at the time of the death of his wife, Leona.
He had worked for the civil service many years before his retirement, and in his earlier years he had wired many homes in Parmer County when REA first came to the county. He also worked for the Farwell waterworks.
Survivors include two sons, D. J. Pipkin of Clovis and Jess H. Pipkin of Amarillo; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
