Paul W. Myers
North Versailles Township
Paul Woodrow Myers, 92, of North Versailles Township, died peacefully Friday, Aug. 26, 2005. Son of the late Abraham Gilhen (Gilpen) and Anna Elizabeth (Roofner) Myers, he was born June 1, 1913, in Adrian, Pa., and was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Geraldine (Wilson) Myers; his children, Georgetta Duff and husband, Alan, of Penn Township, Barbara Glass and husband, William, of North Huntingdon, Beverly Humberger and husband, James, of Irwin, Paul Myers and wife, Linda, of Lake Monticello, Va., Gerald Myers and wife, Dolores, of Ellicott City, Md., and Deborah Levy and husband, Christopher, of Penn Township; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of Miller United Methodist Church, North Versailles. He retired in 1975 with 35 years of service at the Irvin plant of United States Steel. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Rodgers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Tiffany, pastor of Miller United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum, North Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
