William "Willard" C. Rohr was born in February 1856 in El Monte, California, the child of Unknown Rohr [sic] and Elizabeth Jane Stowell Brown [my gg grandmother'sister]. William changed his name to Willard C. Gray; he was adopted by the Thomas and Christiana Gray family [they were on the same 100+ wagon train his mother had traveled with in 1853] from a very early age, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. Willard married Olive Jane Sowles December 20, 1886, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. Willard died June 19, 1911, in Huntington Beach, Orange County, California. Willard was buried at Angelus Rosedale Cemetery, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.
