The Huntsville Times, Sunday, June 26, 1983. Norman James Allen, 77, of 805 McKinley Ave., died Friday at his residence. The funeral will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Howard McNally officiating. Burial will be in Briar Fork Cemetery. Mr. Allen, a native of DeKalb County, Tennessee, had lived in Huntsville for the past 73 years. He was a retired textile worker and a member of the Briar Fork Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Leron E. Schrimsher and Mrs. Freddie R. Wallace, both of Huntsville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
