Peggy Lee Crum, age 81, of Smyrna, TN, died Friday, April 17, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. She went to meet the Lord at her daughter's home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 9, 1927 in Wichita Falls, TX and was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley Powell and Jessie Walton Bepko; and a grandson, Roger Lavell Crum. Mrs. Crum was a member of Sandwich Church of the Nazarene and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived in Plano from 1968-1975 with her husband of 64 years, Eugene Crum, who was a teacher and coach at Plano High School. As a woman of great faith, Peggy loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart. She is survived by her husband of Tennessee; daughters, Pam (Jim) Johnson of Smyrna, Debra Crum of Minnesota; sons, Gary Crum of Minnesota, James Crum of California; grandchildren, Leah Conrad of Idaho, Tracy Ames of Illinois, Neil Crum of Indiana, Kari Johnson of Nashville, Jami Geselle and Krista Phillips of Spring Hill, Nick Johnson and Joel Reed of Murfreesboro, and Jason Reed of Nashville; 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Smyrna First Free Methodist Church with Ricky Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, 459-3254. www.woodfinchapel.com.
