Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mae Alley, 27, wife of James H. Alley who died Saturday at the Pulaski hospital following a several weeks' illness were held at the Pentecostal Holiness Church Sunday with interment in the Newbern cemetery. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Rena Opal; two sons, Phillip Lee and Walter Edgar; and four stepchildren, Lois, Mildred, Eugene, and Earl; her parents, Mrs. & Mrs. Early Tabor; four brothers and three sisters and a host of relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Claude Holliday, L.M. Brookman, Charles Quesenberry, Palmer Whittington, Mike Kegley, Bill Harris. Flower girls were Louise Bishop, Pauline Swain, Ruby Hearon, Helen Wooten, Maireane Brauley, Irene Cecil, Virginia Holliday, Ellen Holliday, Elizabeth Eppely, Bertha Dickerson, Margaret Wheeling, Lucille Eversole, Beulah Hawkins.
