BUCYRUS - Herman B. Barenbrugge, 87, 205 E. Lucas St., died this morning at 12:10 in Bucyrus Community Hospital after a year's illness. He came here with General Electric Co. when the local plant was built in 1942. He retired in 1947 after 32 years of service with GE.

Mr. Barenbrugge belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

A native of Germany, he was born Feb. 22, 1878, son of Francis and Josephine Barenbrugge. His marriage June 1, 1901, was to Emily Sutton, who died in March, 1953.

Surviving are a son, Eugene P. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Fields, Bucyrus, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph B., Hollywood, Fla. and sister, Mrs. Anna Zimmer, Bridgeville, Pa.
