Bramlett, Pvt, Pvt, Co D, 2nd Regt, Ark Cav Volunteers, U.S.A.; enlisted 10 Jan. 10 1864 Springfield, Mo., enrolled age 26 10 Feb 1864, Jasper, Ark.; served in northern Arkansas; statement in his later pension says he became overheated in a march from Arkansas to Springfield, Mo., which caused weakness and affected his lungs; AWOL 31 Dec 1864--28 Feb 1865: deserted Springfield, Mo., 14 Dec 1864; on description list of deserters 31 May 1865, LaGrange, Tenn.: returned and reported at Springfield, Mo., and returned to service 6 May 1865, forfeited all pay during 14 Dec 1864--6 May 1865 by desertion; mustered out/discharged 20 Aug 1865, Memphis, Tenn. Invalid Pension 1055.791, certificate 1055.214, filed 16 Sept 1891 Pope Co., Ark.; resident of Appleton, Pope Co., Ark., born 29 Dec 1834 Jackson Co., S.C.; farmer, vitals: 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weight 125, grey eyes, dark hair dark complexion, no permanent marks or scars.
