MRS. THOMAS O. WHITE
Olga Elnora Anna Elizabeth Carlson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Carlson, was born near Chariton, Iowa, on June 24th, 1896, and departed this life at her home northeast of Chariton on August 5, 1931, at the age of 35 years, 1 month and 11 days.
She was united in marriage to Thomas O. White on December 25, 1917. To this union were born six children, Carl, Jimmie, Helen, Dean, Dale and Lucille, all of whom survive their mother except Jimmie, who died in infancy.
Besides the heartbroken husband and children she leaves to mourn their loss her father, mother, three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. H. A. Ballard, of Chariton, Gladys, Arlene, Vernon and Glenn at home and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was converted during a revival held by Rev. A. T. Swanson at the Beulah Evangelical church in September, 1914, but after moving to her home in Cedar township, which they had lately purchased, she transferred her membership to the Bethel U. B. church that she might be in the same church with her husband.
She lived a faithful christian life until called to her heavenly home. Mrs. White was a good wife, a kind and loving mother and a wonderful neighbor. She was never so busy that she couldn't help others in need and to know her was to love her.
Largely attended funeral services were held on Sunday, August 9, at Bethel U. B. church at 2 p.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. C. McKray, after which she was laid to rest in the Bethel cemetery.
