Mr. Arthur Garfield Covey, 101, of Pulaski, died Saturday morning in a Marion Hospital. Born in Pulaski County, March 29, 1880, the son of the late Alvie Covey and Martha L. Terry Covey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Alena Hoback Covey. Surviving are two sons, Jerry G. Covey, Pulaski; Daniel Covey, Pulaski; one step-son, Denton Taylor, Pulaski; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. J.P. Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhodes Family Cemetery. Visiting will be any time Sunday and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski. The family will be at the residence of the son, Daniel Covey, 1125 Taylor Street, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
