Added gender. 1) original bio section by creator of memorial below divider.~Funeral services for Jean Elizabeth (May) Tuttle, 67, of Wagoner, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 1992, at the First United Methodist church in Wagoner. Officiating was the Rev. John Stuckey. Interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery, under the direction of Mallett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tuttle was born October 10, 1924, at Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to Henry L. and Hazel (Bowersack) May. She died Thursday, March 5, 1992, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Mrs. Tuttle had been a Wagoner resident since 1951. She was a member of EU Chapter of P.E.O. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wagoner, serving on the Board of Stewards and was an active member of the Dorcas Circle.
Survivors include two sons; Dr. Larry D. Tuttle of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Jerry Tuttle of Wagoner; a daughter, Holly Fourmy of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two brothers, William May of Marietta, Georgia and Henry May, Jr., of Sapulpa and five grandchildren. Mrs. Tuttle was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Howard D. Tuttle, in August 1986.
Serving as pallbearers were Doug Cromwell, Jack Smalley, Rob Nicholas, Jeff Hamilton, Fred Yeary and Bob Stuart. Honorary pallbearers were Norman Wright, Ivan Jennings, and Bub Stacy. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Wagoner.
