Death Of A Naval Officer.
New York, June 13. Captain Steven W. Quackenbush of the United States Marine Corps died suddenly in his quarters at the station of the corps in Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, today. Death was caused by heart trouble, superinduced by the rupture of a blood vessel received about three months ago. Captain Quackenbush was born in New York and was appointed to the service from Virginia, receiving his commission as a second lieutenant on December 4, 1869.
