Center, whose home was at 300 West Franklin road, was born and reared near Travelers Rest, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Center. He was a member of the San Souci Baptist Church.

He managed the Berea Team in the Roosevelt Baseball league last summer.

He is survived by his widow, who before marriage was Miss Lula Stamey; two daughters, Lois and Beverly Center; one son, Randolph Center; two sisters, Mrs Elford Coleman, Travelers Rest and Mrs. Hester Gilreath, Greenville, and three brothers, John and Rashir Center, Travelers Rest, and Henry Center, Greenville.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Thomas McAfee, funeral director.
