Otis and Georgia Matterlee Barton. She was a housewife and a member of the
Farmer Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy J. Shepherd of the home, to whom she was
married on March 6, 1926; two sons, Kenneth Shepherd of Hindsville and Bobby
Shepherd of Batesville; two daughters, Mrs. Anneta Cooper of Springdale and Mrs.
Wanda Lee Laird of Huntsville; two sisters, Mrs. Jean McCoy of Springdale and
Mrs. Hazel Barron of Goshen; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, in the chapel of Brashears
Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren Collins officiating. Interment was in the
Buckeye Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Kenny Shepherd, Jesse Laird, Wilfred Laird, Allen Sloan, Tm
Sloan, and Randy Sloan.
