Rita Margaret Carson, 95, a former Yale resident, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, in Akron, Ohio.
She was born Saturday, June 14, 1913, in Riley Township, the daughter of the late Edward and Ellen (Foley) Butler.
Her marriage to Robert A. Carson was March 7, 1934, in Port Huron. Robert died Thursday, October 18, 2001.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Patricia of Akron, Ohio and Leo and Sandy of Valley Springs, South Dakota; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and sister-in-law, Eleanor Butler.
She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth (1952) daughter Elizabeth and granddaughters Michelle and Tabitha (1986).
Her family honors the memory of Rita and invites you to share Wednesday, May 20, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and 10:00 am Thursday at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale. Rosary and scripture service will be 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Rite of Christian Burial in appreciation of the life, family and friends of Rita will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yale MI. Monsignor George Browne will officiate. Committal will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yale.
Pall bearers will be grandsons Dennis, Michael, Timothy, Stephen, Brian, and Robert and nephew Patrick Gleason.
