IOWA PARK – Luther Raybourne, 83, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, in a Wichita Falls hospice center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Dr. Greg Ammons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.
Mr. Raybourne was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Kreole, Miss. He and Judy Barnhart were married Jan. 28, 1942, in Lebanon, Ohio. He was a construction foreman for Wagner Smith Construction Co. and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8066 in Eaton, Ohio and of the Labor Contractors Union of Dayton, Ohio. A son, Robert L., died in 1981. Another son, John V., died in 1946. He had lived in Iowa Park for 20 years, moving from West Alexandria, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Judie Morgan of Kamay and Susan Carroll of Iowa Park; a sister, Irene Southam of Eaton; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
