Everett Penn Penfold was born on October 31, 1895, in Burlington, Colorado, his father, James, was 46 and his mother, Emmaline, was 41. Everett Joined the U. S. Army on 5 August 1918 and served in World War I and was Honorably Discharged on 17 June 1919. He married Thelma Alice Hobby on March 7, 1922, the daughter of John William, and Clara Alice (Hammill) Hobby in Silver Cliff, Colorado. Penn's occupation in the 1920 Census is gardener Landscaper, working for himself. In the 1930 Census he is a Farmer and in the 1940 Census, he is a Rancher owning his own ranch in Querida Colorado. He died on May 25, 1971, in Westcliffe, Colorado, at the age of 75, and was buried in Rosita Cemetery, Rosita, Colorado.
