He was honorably discharged and retired from active duty on 30 December 1960, as a Sargent First Class. Served a total of twenty years, five months, and sixteen days.
On 17 August 1956, at Montery, California he married Beatrice Lee (Rawlings) Burch. They remained together until Anthony's death.
On 30 July 1992 Anthony passed away , at the age of eighty years of age. He was laid to rest at the Washington Veterans Home Cemetery at Retsil, Washington.
