Andreas Hansen was born on 14 May 1889 at Vaagan, Norway. His parents remained in Norway, and their names are unknown.

About twenty one years of age Andreas left his native Norway, via the city of Osla. He arrived in the United States of America at the port of Marinette, Wisconsin on 10 October 1910.

Andreas served in the United States Army during World War I. He served until being honorably discharged as a Private.

On 6 February 1934, at Seattle, Washington Andreas submitted his naturalization pettion.

Then on 7 March 1978, at the age of eighty eight, Andreas passed away. He was laid to rest at the Washington Veterans Home Cemetery at Retsil, Washington.
