Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Baptist Church here, with the Rev. George Dye, the Rev. Ben Broadway, and the Rev. W. R. Bouknight officiating. Burial will be in the St. George Cemetery, under the direction of Bryant Funeral Home. Member of the St. George.
Lions Club will serve as honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers will be Colie Collins, G. W. RIckborn, Dr. Gavin Appleby, Bobby Utsey, Duncan Horne, William Wamer, B. H. Hollman, and E. M. Inabinet Jr. A son fo the late George Washington Hutto and the late Mrs. Mary Williams Hutto, he was born Nov. 6, 1896 in Orangeburg County.
He served as a local agent for the Southern Railway at several points in the Charleston division for the last 45 years. He was married to the former Miss Elizabeth Inabinet. Since coming to St. George in 1938, Mr. Hutto devoted a great deal of his spare time to the estabishment of a healthy climate for industry in the community.
He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, a Mason, and a charter member of the St. George Lions Club. He served continously as this club's only secretary until the times of his death. During recent years he devoted much time to genealogy and had published the results of his research on the Boyleston, Inabinet and Hutto families.
He was a member of the S.C. Historical Society and the American Genealogical Society. Surviving are: his widow; a daughter, Mrs. D. R. Rickborn of Chamblee, Ga.; a son, Edgar Hutto Jr., of Cherry Hill, N. J.; four sisters, Mrs. D. K. Mack of West Columbia, Mrs. A. L. Hallman of Neeses, Mrs. C. F. Barr of Denmark, and Mrs. Lovie Jackson of Dover, Del., and six grandchildren. © The News and
