Moses J. Bosley, 89, a resident of the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil, died Sunday at the home.
He was born July 3, 1898, in Flinton, Ontario. He received most of his schooling in Michigan, but occasionally returned to his home in Canada.
He and his brothers moved to Oklahoma where they worked in the oil fields during World War I.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1942 and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After discharge on Oct.2, 19445, he worked for Boeing Aircraft Co. in Wichita, Kan., until the end of the war.He later was employed at Cyrus Truck Lines in Iola, Kan., retiring after more than 20 years with them.
He moved to Port Orchard on May 6, 1985.
He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Kansas and of St.Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.
He is survived by a sister, Addie LeFort of Calgary, Alberta, and a nephew, John E. Bosley of Port Orchard.
A Memorial Mass will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Retsil Community Church at the Washington Veterans Home. Interment will be at the Retsil Community Cemetery.
