Norman W. Wooldridge died Monday in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Formerly a resident of Austin he had lived in Mount Holly for 20 years. He was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity, and was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Wooldridge was a registered engineer with the State of Texas, and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Katherine S. Wooldridge of Mount Holly, New Jersey; a daughter, Mrs Gail Wooldridge Brooks of Custin, Calif., and two grandchildren.

Graveside services with full military honors, will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, with Rev. Calton E. Permenter officiating. Services and burial arrangements are by Weed-Corley Funeral Home.

Additional: In 1934, Norman married the love of his life, the former Katherine Strickland. They bought a farm outside Lewiswille, Texas where they were real pioneers, hauling water in the rumble seat of Pinky's packard...raising guineas, turkeys and one baby girl, Gail.

He was the son of Alexander Penn Wooldridge (once served as Mayor of Austin, Texas) and Ellen Waggener.
