Leanna Virginia White Turner, 84, passed away April 30, 2009. She was born Dec. 30, 1924, in Springfield, Mo., and was a 45-year resident of Nevada.

Leanna was a retired secretary, having worked for several painting companies.

She was a loving mother and caregiver to all. Leanna loved helping children and was very involved with children's activities at Mountain View Christian School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Turner; three brothers, Eddie, Paul and James "Bud"; and one sister, Dorothy.

Leanna is survived by her sons, Skip and Randy Turner; daughter, Georgia Slentz; brother, Charles; and lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. Donations can be made to the scholarship fund at Mountain View Christian School.
