Agnes G. Arnold, age 96, of the St. Vincent Home, formerly of 301 North 8th, died on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 4:40 Am in the Home. She was born on April 29, 1912 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Henry & Mary (Boll) Eing. She married Louis Arnold on June 5, 1948 in St. John Catholic Church in Quincy. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1987. Agnes loved to do quilting and needlework. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews including a niece Lucille Winking and a special godson Bruce Arnold. In addition to her husband, Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Gerry Eing and 2 sisters: Adelaide Steinbrecher and Margaret Winking and a nephew Eugene Witsken. Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 10:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Agnes‘ nephew, Father Jim Hoffman, OFM. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or to the Blessing Hospice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
