Janet was born June 30, 1929 to Edwin and Hannah Nielsen DeMill in Clarion, Sanpete County, Utah.
She married Evan Reed Jensen on June 26, 1948 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They spent most of their married life in Centerville, where they raised two sons, James Edwin Jensen and John Reed (Julie) Jensen. She also raised a granddaughter, Jessica (Andrew) Nield. She also has two other grandchildren, Jared Reed (Stefani) Jensen and Jamie Nicole (Justin) Bagnell and was so very proud of her eight great-grandchildren.
Janet became a widow at quite a young age, losing Reed on February 1, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents as well as three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her brother Don DeMill and his wife Voniel as well as sister-in-law, Geniel DeMill and numerous nieces and nephews that she adored.
She spent many years working for the telephone company before being forced to take a medical retirement in 1976. The telephone company was very good to her and made it possible for her to receive the necessary medical care for her rheumatoid arthritis throughout the years. She endured countless surgeries and years of pain and suffering, but never complained.
She was truly an inspiration to her family as well as a great joy. No one has ever been more loved or will be more missed. Janet was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and realized her dream of going through the temple on August 12, 1983.
