The following obituary appeared in THE PARIS NEWS, Jan. 07, 2008:
"Glenna Faye 'Granny' Bishop Trapp, 79, of Paris, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services are to be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Starrett Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rusty Hedges officiating. Interment follows in Evergreen Cemetery. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was born July 28, 1928, in Pattonville, a daughter of Andy and Lillie Mae Bishop. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and a newspaper carrier for The Paris News for over 50 years. She married Elmer 'Elmo' Trapp on Dec. 31, 1953, in Paris. He preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Robert Trapp and Larry Floyd. Survivors include a son, Johnny Trapp; two grandchildren, Andy and Sarah Trapp; and a daughter-in-law, Laurie Trapp. Named as honorary pallbearers are all law enforcement officers of Paris and Lamar County. If desired, the family would be appreciative of memorial contributions to Calvary United Methodist Church, 3105 Lamar Avenue, Paris, TX 75460.
