With great sadness, the family of Charles Herbert Anschuetz announce his death on March 24, 2016. Charles was born March 19, 1947 to the late Arthur and Evelyn (Rempert) Anschuetz.
Charles was raised on his family's farm in Grant Township and subsequently raised his children on that same dairy farm. Charles was mostly retired in the last 5 years, spending much of his time hunting and babysitting his grandchildren.
Charles was united in marriage to Susan Marie Ulman on August 30, 1969. To this union, 5 children were born: Melanie (Scott) Barnes of Whittemore, Hans (Nirva) Anschuetz, Albert (Jennifer) Anschuetz, both of Tawas City, Greta Anschuetz of Haverford, PA, and Peter (Laura) Anschuetz of Tawas City. In addition to his wife and children, Charles is survived by nine grandchildren: Samuel, Darby, Preston, Madelyn, Kenniah, Halanna, Otto, Clara, and Rudolph; 2 brothers: Gerald (Diann) Anschuetz of Tawas City and Larry (Dorothy) Anschuetz of Tecumseh; an aunt: Rhea Ulman of Tawas City; and numerous nieces and nephews, including his nephew, Douglas Anschuetz of Tawas City, with whom he shared a close bond. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Jr, and his sister, Carol; 2 half-sisters: Eileen Rempert and Ardith Zimmmerman.
