Faye L. Linder, 85, of Columbus died at 12:07 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Linder formerly worked at Bartholomew County Hospital, then retired in 1986 from Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. where she was coordinator of school health services. She was a charter member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a member of Rebecca Circle of the Church, Asbury DMA, OK Home Economics Club, Columbus Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Foundation for Youth Swim Exercise Program and Bartholomew County Senior Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Asbury United Methodist Church by Dr. Al Styron Jr. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.

Mrs. Linder was born in Columbus Aug. 19, 1923, the daughter of Herman L. and Grace L. Harms Golden. She married Edgar A. Linder Jr., March 19, 1950, in Columbus.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, Claudia J. (Ken) Schneider of Hanover and Rebecca A. (Tom) Wilson of New Richmond, Ohio; grandchildren, Emily D. (Jason) Sedillo of Nashville, TN, and Benjamin T. (Stephanie) Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
