On Monday night August 26th, Mr. Sidney Blount died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lula Jackson after a illness of several months.

He was a former resident of this community and was liked by all who knew him. The remains were brought here for interment. He leaves a wife and five children besides a large number of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.

His father was Isaac Blount born 1815 in Georgia, married to Sarah Ezell. His grandfather was Isaac Moab Blount born 1781 in Tyrrell County, NC, died 1859 in Georgia, married to Anna White.
