Mrs. Adelphia Marks
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg for Mrs. Adelphia Marks, 54, of 21st Street, Vienna, who was pronounced dead on arrival at camden Clark Memorial Hospital Sunday. The Rev. Orland Reynolds will officiate with burial to be in the Gandeeville Cemetery.
Born in Wirt County, daughter of Amiziah and Florence Thompson Lockhart, she had lived in Vienna for 25 years, coming from Gandeeville. her husband, Clarence Marks, preceded her in death earlier this year.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Eugene Nelson of Vienna; two sons, Tech/Sgt. Stephen A. Marks, stationed in Japan, and Richard Marks, at home; two brothers, Okey Lockhart of Parkersburg, and Foster Lockhart of Charleston; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Price of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Oda Snyder of Gandeeville; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
