Brandon, May 6 - Thomas G. Rowe, 88, one of Brandon's last four Civil War veterans, died at the home of his son, Erwin Rowe, this afternoon after a long illness. He was born in England on September 9, 1845, the son of Thomas and Mary Goodman Rowe. He is survived by two sons, Erwin and Judson of Albany, an adopted daughter, Mrs. George Vallee of Great Barrington, Mass., and two brothers, George and Dan of Bethel. He enlisted in Company C, 1st Regiment Vermont Artillery under Capt. S.B. Tucker on August 19, 1864 and was honorably discharged on June 24, 1865.
