Mr. DeLamater was born in 1902 in Baker City to Frank and May Richardson DeLamater, Oregon pioneers. He was baptized in Powder River in Baker City by the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter day Saints.
Mr. Delamater farmed on Miller Island and worked for Weyerhaeuser Lumber Co. for 29 years until selling his farm to the Oregon Game Commission.
After retirement from Weyerhaeuser, he and his wife, Inez, who preceded him in death, farmed in the Beatty area.
He was a life member of Klamath Lodge No. 77 A.F.& A.M., a life member of the Klamath Falls Elks Lodge, and an associate guardian of Job's Daughters No. 51, Henley.
Surviving are his daughter, Hazel Jo Correll, Nevada; grandson, Charles Long, Germany; two nieces; one nephews; and many other relatives.
